
SUE ANN FERN
January 4, 1948 – September 7, 2006
Sue Ann Fern was born January 4, 1948, in Dubuque, Iowa. She died peacefully on September 7, 2006, at the age of 58, at her home in Maplewood, Minnesota. That marked the end of a long and courageous battle with multiple myeloma. Sue was preceded in death by her parents, Elizabeth and Earl Fern, and her brother Tom. She is survived by her children Amy Catherine Bastian and Brad Albert Bastian; grandchildren, Kanisha, Nakara, Mariah, Emon and Elijha; siblings Doug (Jan) Fern, Mark (Pam) Fern, Peri O'Connell Krepfle, Jess Fern, brother-in-law Jack O'Connell, sisters- in-law Jayne Fern and Lisa Fern, many nieces, nephews and other family and friends. Memorial Celebration at Calvary Lutheran Church will be followed by a second service on September 16th at 1 p.m. in Farley, Iowa, at Reiff Funeral Home. Interment will be at St. Joseph's Cemetery.
Sue was a wonderful woman who touched many lives and was deeply loved by her family and friends. She graduated from St. Joseph's High School in 1966 and from Mercy Hospital in 1968 as an x-ray technician. Both are in Farley, Iowa. Sue worked at the Dubuque packing plant for 10 years. She moved to the Twin Cities in 1985. Sue worked for Roots and Fruits food coop and served as president of the board. She was active in many sports including bowling and softball and was WRA president. Her joy of singing led her to be one of the founders of the Twin Cities Women's Choir. The family is thankful to Hospice of the Lakes, especially Bonnie, Jamie and Pat as well as to the doctors and nurses on 8 East at Regions Hospital. The family is also deeply grateful to all those who provided meals and other necessities during Sue's illness. All were a true blessing to Sue and her family.

RENEE EVE ROBBINS
August 16, 1956 – August 5, 2001
Renee passed away from pancreatic cancer 11 days before her 45th birthday.
She was preceded in death by her father Irving Robbins. She is survived by her husband, Frank Hudson, her mother Maxine Robbins, brothers Reid and Steven (HsinHsin), sister Susan (Tom), and nephew Alexander Mundahl.
She graduated from St. Louis Park High School, received a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Minnesota and a Masters in Psychology from Alfred Adler Institute. She traveled to Russia, Scotland, Ireland, England, Hawaii, Alaska and many sections of the United States.
She loved singing in the Twin Cities Womens Choir, reading, writing, art. As a teenager, she published several articles in Seventeen Magazine. She also wrote articles for the campus paper of the U of M in Marshall Minnesota.
She is missed and loved by her many friends and family.
